‘Make gym a fun place not a military school- Get yourself a Gym Buddy.’

We all know that we require regularity with our workouts. A great plan is set as to which muscle is to be worked on specific days of the week and we are rather enthusiastic for a few months till we convince our little conscience with excuses to skip a day or two.
A good arrangement would be to go to gym along with your best friend or your partner. Someone who could not only help you during workout but also motivate you to be regular. I have seen most people treating gym as a serious daily activity where they may go along with their spouse but are so serious and self obsessed, that they become boring beasts for themselves as well as the partner.
Instead I would recommend have fun with your special someone at the gym, create an excitement, complement each other and although you have to be sure never let your workout suffer, at the same time balance to create a happy atmosphere rather than a boring one like a military camp & that way, you would look forward to a routine you may want to continue for the rest of your life.
This Picture has a very special man with me – Thakur Anoop Singh. He is special because despite being Mr. World, he is the most friendly, humble & God fearing being who appreciates and encourages others & who puts the opposite person ahead of him…
(This was an awesome, fun & memorable morning at a time when I was actually low.
Thanks Anoop for always being there for me & making me smile!)

While I was discussing protein foods for pure vegetarians with the Actor/ Director & btw who is the cutest sweetest person you can meet- “Sunny Goraya”,
I realised that at times people may truly wonder where to get their protein intake from, when they are vegetarians & do not consume eggs.

At an average, a woman require 46gms & men require 56gms of proteins per day. But do we truly meet our requirements.

Well… We may be pretty aware that Legumes like beans, lentils and peanuts consumed along with grains like Rice, Wheat and Corn gives our body ‘complete Protein’.

Peanut butter on whole wheat chapatti too may provide the essential amino acids that your body requires.

But the main challenge here is when one is on a weight loss & wants to avoid those additional fats & carbs.

I would definitely recommend you start your day with ‘Sattu’ powder mixed with water. This is simle black gram powder. This is available in various flavours and also plain at supermarkets.

You could follow this with low-fat cottage cheese or Greek yogurt with a slice of multigrain bread, Soy Milk for breakfast.

Besides the usual Sprouts you may opt to feast on Quinoa. This is high in Protein and Fiber so you would feel satiated with a limited quantity.

Pumpkin Seeds & Almonds are other must have, although it is high in calories and hence please be mindful of the quantity.

Include Rajma, chickpeas, Pinto beans, soy chunks (Seitan) to your weekly diet plan.

A new variety of foods always makes us look forward to our diet so the most important is to be innovative.

Happy Protein Diet Friends!!
